The twelfth annual Classical Guitar Weekend, Northeast Ohio's premiere classical guitar festival, will take place at the Cleveland Institute of Music on Friday, June 1 through Sunday, June 3, 2012.

Join internationally renowned classical guitarists and teachers Jason Vieaux (U.S.A. - CIM Guitar Department Head), Pavel Steidl (Czech Republic), Gaelle Solal (France), Lorenzo Micheli (Italy), Matteo Mela (Italy), Anne Waller (U.S.A.), soprano Jung Eun Oh (U.S.A.), master guitar maker Bernhard Kresse (Germany), guest lecturer Jonathan Fitzgerald (U.S.A.) and record producer Alan Bise (U.S.A.) in a concentrated series of recitals, debut performances, master classes, lectures and exhibits celebrating the classical guitar and art music, solo and ensemble, old and new. All recitals will take place in Mixon Hall, CIM's award winning new concert hall.

Classical Guitar Weekend is presented in the heart of University Circle - Cleveland, Ohio's world renowned cultural and educational center (ranked one of America's prettiest neighborhoods by Forbes Magazine) - by Guitars International in cooperation with the Cleveland Institute of Music with generous additional support from the Galli String Company, the Cleveland community and beyond.

The diverse geographic origins of our artists and audience members over the years (fifteen states and as many foreign countries) and the even more diverse origins in time and place of the musical compositions our artists perform testify that more than ever the musical arts we celebrate here are timeless, heartfelt and universal.
