German master guitar maker Achim Peter Gropius is one of Europe's most exciting younger makers of individually handmade classical guitars. His traditional signature sound is warm, dark, focused and round: quick powerful trebles, midrange and bass with impressive density and depth of sound. Perfectly balanced throughout their entire pitch and dynamic ranges, these lovely guitars respond with great finesse and beauty to both subtle and broad changes in attack and color. In sum - beautifully proportioned, lovely to look at - Gropius' world class concert guitars exude an inspired and inspiring singing tone which is quite special - a tremendous value in a wonderful concert instrument.
Materials: Lovely figured master grade Honduran sides and back, close straight grain western red ced. soundboard, ebony bindings, very slightly elevated fingerboard at the twelfth fret, immaculately applied French polish of shellac finish, superb German workmanship throughout, Alessi tuning machine heads with ebony oval buttons, 650mm string length.
